Thomson Scientific data
were updated to cover an 11-year period, from January 1997 to December 31,
2007. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional
1,914 scientists, 202 institutions, 20 countries, and 42 journals that are
either entirely new to Essential Science Indicators, or new to one
of the database’s 22 fields. ScienceWatch.com presents a
listing of those New Entrants who showed the greatest total citations.
