Essential Science
IndicatorsSM data were updated to cover a 10-year plus
10-month period, from January 1997 to October 31, 2007. With this update,
the data pool expanded to include an additional 2,473 scientists, 349
institutions, 19 countries, and 43 journals that are either entirely new to
Essential Science Indicators, or new to one of the
database’s 22 fields.
Of the 2,473 scientists new to the database or its
