Factor Analysis undertaken for M-AMBI calculation in oligo-mesohaline waters, within Basque estuaries. Red circle indicates ‘bad reference conditions’, blue circle indicates ‘high reference conditions’, and the other circles are the monitored sampling stations. The vectorial distance between each location and the high reference conditions represents the ecological status, assessed by M-AMBI.
