October 2008
As of September 1, 2008, the
Essential
Science IndicatorsSM from Thomson Reuters data were
updated to cover a 10-year plus 6-month period, from January 1998 to June
30, 2008. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional
1,948 scientists, 303 institutions, 28 countries, and 180 journals that are
either entirely new to Essential Science Indicators, or new to one
of the database’s 22 fields. ScienceWatch.com presents a
listing of those New Entrants who showed the greatest total citations.
